TNA MPs protest, demand inquiry into Sivaram’s murder

Tamil Nation Alliance (TNA) parliamentarians held a demonstration at Jeyanthipura Junction and marched to the Parliament Ground, Wednesday, protesting aginst the abduction and murder of leading Tamil journalist Mr.D.Sivaram, last week. The MPs demanded Sri Lanka’s President to hold an impartial inquiry to identify the killers.
The MPs carried placards with photos of Mr Sivaram and shouted slogans demanding freedom of expression. TNA's Parliamentary group leader Mr. R. Sampanthan requested the Speaker Mr.W.M.J.Lokkubandara to hold a debate in the Parliament. TNA Parlimentarian Group leader R. Sampanthan, Jaffna District Parlimentarians Suresh Premachandran, Gajendrakumar Ponnanmpalam, N.Raviraj, Mavai Snathirajah Eelaventhan, Vanni District Parimentarian Selvam Addikkalanathan and Batticaloa District Parilimentarians Ariyendran, S.Jeyananthamoorthy took part in the protest.
