SLA says finds LTTE member's body

SLA sources in Vavuniya said that they had recovered a body of an LTTE member who was killed in the yesterdays attack at Cheddikulam. The body was found when the SLA launched a search operation in the area, said the SLA sources. The body was later handed over to the Sri Lankan Red Cross (SLRC).
Mr.Sivanathan, the SLRC co-ordinator for north-east said that body was sent to the LTTE controlled areas of Vanni today. 13 Sri Lankan Army soldiers, one policeman and a civilian were killed and 44 wounded, when the Liberation Tigers attacked a SLA convoy in front of Cheddikkulam police station said SLA sources. The Tigers attacked the convoy of two Buffel APCs, one jeep and two Army busses, with grenades and small arms while detonating powerful mines, they said.
