Body of missing soldier found in Kilali

A soldier of the Sri Lanka Army (SLA) who was reported missing Tuesday during training in the forward defence line in Kilali high security zone in Thenmaradchchi division along Jaffna-Kandy highway was recovered Wednesday from nearby shrub jungle by fellow army men, security sources said.

The Kodikamam Police said that no injuries were found on the body of the soldier.

Chavakachcheri Magistrate Mr.P.Subramaniam visited the scene Wednesday evening and held the inquest. The Magistrate further ordered the Police to send the body of the soldier to the Colombo national hospital for post-mortem and to submit the report in court later, legal sources said.
