Jaffna traders organize fasting campaign in support of JM

Jaffna civil groups are organizing to conduct a series of fasting campaign demanding the establishment of Joint Mechanism structure to rehabilitate and reconstruct the tsunami destroyed coastal areas in the northeast province without further delay, sources said. This campaign supported by Thenmaradchchi Traders' Association is to begin Wednesday in Chavakachcheri town, sources said.

Chavakachcheri Traders' Association appealed to its members to close their business establishments, sources said.

The second fasting campaign will be held at Kaithady Junction area on Thursday and at Kodikamam on Friday, sources said.
