Paramilitary cadre killed in Akkaraipattu

Mr Alagan Ravichandran, 38, a cadre attached to the Colombo office of the paramilitary Eelam Peoples Democratic Party (EPDP), was found dead with stab wounds to his head and leg Monday morning in Karunkodithivu, Akkaraipattu in Amparai District, Police said.

Acting Judge of Akkaraipattu, Mr M S Mohideen visited the crime scene Monday morning.

Akkaraipattu Police is conducting investigations into the killing.

Karunkodithivu is 1 km away from Akkaraipattu which is located 64 km south of Batticaloa.
