Witnesses fail to identify Sivaram murder suspect

The identification parade in the Journalist Mr.D.Sivaram murder was held Tuesday in the Kaduwela Magistrate Court. All the six witnesses including Mr.Kusal Perera, journalist and Mr.Ravi Kumudesh, a health trade union official were present. They did not identify the murder suspect at the parade held before the Magistrate Ms Champa Janaki Rajaratne, legal sources said.
Further hearing in the case was put off July 19, legal sources said. The suspect Arumugam Sriskandarajah was brought to court under heavy security. Journalists were not allowed to enter the courthouse and also to take photograph of the suspect. More policemen were deployed to provide security in the vicinity, sources said. Witnesses Mr.Kusal Perera and Mr.Ravi Kumudesh were in the company of Mr.Sivaram on the day of incident April 28 at that time of abduction.
