Sri Lanka sends condolence message to Londoners

Sri Lanka's President Ms Chandrika Kumaratunge Thursday sent a condolence message to the British Government expressing her and Sri Lanka's citizens' grief over the death and destruction caused by bomb blasts, sources in Colombo said.
Excerpts from the message follows: "It is with shock and dismay that I learnt of what appears to be terror attacks in London today causing death and injuries to many civilians. "We condemn such acts unreservedly. We share your view that
democratic values and the way of life of the civilised world cannot be undermined by terrorism. "On behalf of the Govt. and the people of Sri Lanka, I would like to convey to the govt and the people of the UK and to the victims and their families our sympathy and solidarity on this occasion."
