[TamilNet, Sunday, 10 July 2005, 11:55 GMT]
Mr.S.Elilan, Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) Trincomalee district political head Sunday afternoon lodged a complaint with the Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission (SLMM) based in the east port town that the killing of two LTTE cadres and two civilian supporters at Chelvanayakapuram house was a pre-planned act of the Sri Lanka Army. Mr.Elilan brought to the notice of the SLMM his earlier complaint regarding the threat by army intelligence operative to a LTTE cadre Mr.Kaarvannan when being interrogated at the Plantain Point army camp
in Orr's Hill, Trincomalee.
Mr.Kaarvannan on his release from remand two weeks' ago complained to Mr.Elilan that the particular army intelligence operative had threatened him that with in a month's time LTTE cadre Dikkan and other two cadres will be killed. Immediately Mr.Elilan made a complaint with the SLMM in Trincomalee to cause an inquiry into the threat issued by army intelligence The Sri Lanka Navy two months ago arrested Mr.Kaarvannan when he was going to Sampoor by sea. Later he was released on the orders of the Trincomalee Magistrate. With the killing of Dikkan and three others Sunday, Mr.Elilan brought to the notice of the SLMM head in Trincomalee the complaint he made earlier to him about the threat on the life of Mr.Dikkan. Mr.Elilan told SLMM "the Sri Lanka Army should be held responsible for the Sunday killings. I want the SLMM to conduct a full scale inquiry into the killings as the SLA had been directly involved in this incident." Mr.Elilan in his complaint further said the Police in the area had stopped the vehicle in which the assassins were returning after the attack. However the army soldiers in the area had come to the scene and allowed the vehicle to proceed. This clearly showed that the SLA was behind the killings, said
Mr.Elilan. According to Mr.Elilan, two LTTE cadres Dikkan, Ilampuli, National auxiliary force member Wijendrarasa and a supporter Babu had been killed.
