OFERR assists affected Trincomalee students

Organization For Eelam Refugees Rehabilitation (OFERR- Ceylon)has donated thirty-three bicycles to students of Vellaimanal Al-Asker School as a part of a project to bring normalcy in the lives of tsunami affected students in
Trincomalee district.
The event was held at Trincomalee office of the OFERR during the weekend.  Mr.Vikneswaran of OFERR speaking. Mr.Kulendran, Mr.Thilakaretnam, Mr.Kumarasamy and Mr.A.S.Ubaithullah seated.

Mr.K.Thilakaretnam. Trincomalee Zonal Director of Education was the chief guest, Mr.O.V.Kulendran, Assistant Director of Education, Mr.Kumarasamy, OFERR Trincomalee Project Director, Mr.A.S.Ubaithullah, Principal of Al-Askar School participated. Mr.P.Vikneswaran, Joint Co-ordinator of OFERR in Trincomalee outlined the functions of the OFERR in Trincomalee. OFERR has been supplying teaching and learning materials to several schools and uniforms to students. It has already supplied such assistance to about 31 schools in the Trincomalee education zone. OFER is paying allowance and
incentives for teachers specially employed to conduct computer-training classes and also teach special subjects to students in rural schools.
