SLA vehicle injures elderly woman in Jaffna

Ms S.Ranee (65), mother of four children of Fourth Cross Street, Jaffna town was knocked down by a Sri Lanka Army (SLA) vehicle Tuesday around 11.40 a.m. when she was cycling along Muniyappar Temple Lane towards her home after going to the Jaffna market. She sustained serious injuries and was admitted at the Jaffna Teaching Hospital, police said.

Policemen rushed to the site and conducted inquiries.

Later the police took the army vehicle involved in the accident to the police station, sources said.
