Jaffna Central College Principal shot, succumbs to wounds

The Principal of the Jaffna Central college, Mr. Kanapathy Rajadurai, was shot in front of the main entrance of the Weerasingham Hall in Jaffna town on Wednesday at 3:45 p.m. Mr. Rajadurai was rushed to the Jaffna hospital in a critical condition and later succumbed to his wounds around 5:00 p.m.

Mr. Rajadurai was on his way to attend a cultural festival organised by the Jaffna Divisional Secretariat at the Weerasingham hall when a lonely unidentified gunman fired three shots at him.

He was a strong supporter of the EPDP.
