SLMM head meets Elilan in Sampoor

Mr.Hagrup Haukland, Head of the Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission Thursday morning held a wide ranging discussion with Mr.S.Elilan, LTTE Trincomalee district political head at LTTE district political secretariat which is located at Sampoor in the LTTE held Muttur east territory in Trincomalee district, LTTE sources said.

The discussion, which commenced around 11 a.m. concluded at about 1 p.m.

The talks centered on the forthcoming peace talks to be held in Geneva on February 22 and 23, the sources said.

The SLMM head used the opportunity to gather problems on the ground situation in the Trincomalee district, sources said.

Mr.Haukland Wednesday met with LTTE political and military leaders in the Batticaloa district.
