Trinco Bar Association elects new president

Mr.T.Thiruchenthilnathan, Attorney-at-Law, was unanimously elected new President of the Trincomalee District Bar Association for the year 2006-2007. Mr.R.Thirukumaranathan was elected General Secretary and Mr.T.Thushyanthan Treasurer at the annual general held at the Trincomalee court complex recently.

Mr.K.Sivapalan, Attorney-at-Law, outgoing President presided over the meeting.

The delay in establishing a Labour Tribunal in the newly constructed Trincomalee court complex and other matters regarding facilities provided to members of Bar and litigants were discussed at the meeting, sources said.
