SLA provoking LTTE for another war, says Elilan

"The attack by soldiers of the Sri Lanka Army with the connivance of paramilitary cadres on our Forward Defense Line in Poonagar in Eachchilampathu division is aimed to create another war situation by provoking LTTE," said Mr.S.Elilan, LTTE Trincomalee district political head in a complaint lodged with the Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission (SLMM) in Trincomalee Friday.

One LTTE cadre died and three others sustained severe injuries Thursday night when an ambush attack was carried out by the SLA soldiers and paramilitary cadres, said the complaint.

"We would like to bring to your kind notice that the objective of the government forces to weaken the ceasefire agreement by carrying out blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement," said the complaint.
