Oxfam funds sapling planting in Kilinochchi villages

Rural Rehabiltation and Development Organization (RRDO) organized delivery of free saplings of Mango, Orange, Jak Fruit and Gauva trees, funded by Oxfam, to twenty selected families of two Kilinochchi Planned Villages, Umayalpuram and Kumarapuram Thursday, sources in Kilinochchi said.

RRDO is a sister organization to the Tamils Rehabilitation Organization (TRO).

Kumarapuram village official, Mr Sugumar, Umayalpuram village official, Mr.K. Shekar and Oxfam officials, Mr.R.Suthakaran and Ms M. Thayalini distributed the saplings to beneficiaries.

RRDO officials and local residents participated in the events held at the two villages.
