Jaffna couple missing

Mr. S. Nadarajah, 55, and his wife, Vannakkili, have been reported missing. They had gone to the islands off the Jaffna Peninsula to see the bodies of the refugees drowned in the boat accident on July 25.
According to their relatives, the couple had gone on July 30 to find out whether bodies of their relatives were among those washed ashore there. Meanwhile 10 bodies which have been brought to the Jaffna hospital have not been identified as they are in a highly putrefied stage sources said. The Hospital authorities are making arrangements for their funeral sources said. Forty-five of the fifty two refugees who left the north west coast of the island have been reported drowned after their boat capsized on July 25. Twenty-five bodies have so far washed ashore in the islands off the Jaffna peninsula.
