Twelve tractors and eight lorries disappear in Batticaloa

Twelve tractors and eight lorries which went to Batticaloa, Karimichchai and Vaharai areas Monday from Valaichchenai and other villages to transport building materials are reported to have been abducted. Police and human rights organizations have not received any complaints on the disappearances, civil sources said.

Abduction of vehicles plying to and from Vaharai area has increased during the last few months, according to civil sources.
