British diplomats meet Thamilchelvan in Kilinochchi

A British diplomatic delegation led by British deputy high commissioner Lesley Craig met with LTTE Head of Political Wing, S.P. Thamilchelvan, at the LTTE Peace Secretariat offices in Kilinochchi at 11:20 a.m. Friday, LTTE sources from Kilinochchi said.
The British delegation which arrived in Kilinochchi via A9 highway also included Mr John Culley, 2nd Secretary at the High Commission for Political Affairs,
Mr Nilakshan Swarnarajah, Political & Press Officer, and
Ms Dulani Sirisena, Programme Assistant. Tamileelam Head of Police, P Nadesan and Director of LTTE Peace Secretariat Puleedevan accompanied Thamilchelvan to the meeting. The discussions focussed on the rapidly deteriorating situation on the ground, and the approaching deadline set by the Liberation Tigers for the removal of European Union members from the Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission (SLMM), among other matters, sources in Kilinochchi said. The British delegation is also scheduled to visit the officials at the LTTE Planning and Development Secretariat (PDS) later in the day, sources added.
