SLA shoots dead 5 intruders near Muhamalai

Five men who attempted to infiltrate from LTTE controlled area into Jaffna district through the Forward Defense Lines (FDLs) near Muhamalai have been shot dead by the Sri Lanka Army (SLA), Kodikamam Police said.

Defense Ministry sources from Colombo said the soldiers have shot dead five LTTE cadres in Kilali referring to the same incident.

Since the incident allegedly occurred inside the High Security Zone where there is no civilian movement, no more details are available.
