Mutilated body found in Vavuniya

Body of a young man with stab injuries was found in Samankulam in Vavuniya, Wednesday morning. The victim's head had been burnt beyond recognition, police in Vavuniya said.

The victim is believed to be in his early 20's, according to the Police.

The body was handed over to the General Hospital.

In a separate incident, a young man was shot dead by unidentified persons in Manipuram in Vavuniya, Tuesday evening.

The police said the victim, Sasikaran, 22, was a LTTE member.
