Abducted Hindu priest released in Colombo

Unidentified armed men abducted the Hindu priest of Colombo Kochikadai Ponnambalavaneswara temple Saturday around 2:00 p.m at the Fort bus stop and released him Monday 5:00 a.m at the Five Lamps junction in Colombo, said civil sources in Colombo.

Priest Janarthanan Balajegatheesa Sarma said that he was assaulted by the abductors but refused to disclose information about the abduction.

Relatives of the priest has lodged complaints to civil group led by Parliamentarian Mano Ganesan, sources said.
