Electricity Board employee shot dead in Trincomalee

Unidentified men shot dead an employee of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) , Tuesday morning while he was on his way to report for work in the CEB office located in Uppuveli, suburb in the Trincomalee town, sources in Trincomalee said.

The victim was identified as Konamalai Kaneshabalan, a resident of Gandhinagar, a suburb along Trincomalee-Kandy road between Anpuvallipuram and Abeyapura.

The Uppuveli Police began investigation into the crime.
