JVP prepares to face to snap election

Somawanse Amerasinghe, leader of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) has alerted the party's politburo to face a snap general election at any time.
He cautioned the members of the JVP politburo that the announcement of several popular measures and development projects by the government led by
Sri Lanka's President Mahinda Rajapakse should be considered as an indication for a
snap parliamentary election, media sources in Colombo said.
Mr.Somawanse Amerasinghe last week briefed the party politburo that the JVP should be prepared its party machinery to face a general election. The politburo was told that reorganization of party branches at the grass root level has already started and this will be completed in two months. Thereafter the national convention of the party will be held in Colombo.
