Two family men shot injured in Jaffna

Two unidentified armed men on a motorcycle, followed a tailor going along the road at Pandiyanthalvu in Kolumbuthurai Jaffna, shot and seriously injured him Thursday evening, sources in Jaffna said. Meanwhile, another family man was shot and seriously wounded at Karavetty by two unidentified armed men on motorcycle Friday morning.
The seriously injured tailor at Pandiyanthalvu is Selvam Theepakanthan, 33, a family man. He is admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at Jaffna Teaching hospital. The man shot and seriously injured at Karavetty was identified as Raman Rajkannan, 28, a family man from Rajkiramam, Karavetty in Vadamaradchy. He was shot while riding his bicycle along Nelliyady-Kodikamam road to visit his friend in Urumpirai. Rajkannan was rushed to Manthihai hospital first and later transferred to Jaffna Teaching hospital where he is being treated at the Intensive Care Unit.
