The bodies were handed over at Mallavi, eight kilometers west of Mankulam, the scene of heavy fighting between the SLA and the Liberation Tigers since Tuesday September 29. The ICRC will bring the bodies, according to ICRC's media relations officer Harasha Gunawardana, to the SLA point at Poovarasankulam on the Vavuniya Mannar road later this afternoon. The Tigers have handed over 684 bodies of the SLA soldiers killed in Kilinochchi through the ICRC since Wednesday. At least 500 soldiers are still missing said army sources in Jaffna today.
