Tamil trader shot dead in Thampalakamam

A Tamil trader was shot dead Saturday evening around 5.30 p.m. at Puduthukuddiyiruppu in Thampalakamam village by unidentified men. He has been identified as Paramaguru Ramesh aged 36, police sources said.

Unidentified men stopped the three-wheeler in which the deceased was travelling from Trincomalee town to his village and shot him dead, sources said.

Thampalakamam Police handed over the body at the Thampalakamam government hospital for post-mortem and magisterial inquest, sources said.
