Youth shot dead in Thenmaraadchi, student abducted in Valigaamam

Unknown armed men on motor cycle shot dead a youth Wednesday around 6:00 p.m at Maarseari, Va'ra'ni in Thenmaraadchi, following the claymore attack Tuesday evening in Thenmaraadchi in which 3 Sri Lanka Army (SLA) troops were killed.

The youth shot dead Tuesday was identified as Krishnan Vaseekaran, 22.

The killers arriving at Vaseekaran's house called him out and shot him dead at point blank range.

Meanwhile, unidentified gunmen abducted a 15-year-old student at his relative's house at Koappaay area, in Valigaamam east, during curfew hours Wednesday, soures in Jaffna said.
