Anura Bandaranaike to visit India[TamilNet, Sunday, 05 August 2007, 16:26 GMT]Mr.Anura Bandaranaike, Minister of National Heritage, is scheduled to leave for New Delhi on Monday to meet Indian political leaders. He is expected to meet Ms Sonia Gandhi, leader of the ruling Congress Party, and Mr.M.K.Narayanan, Indian security advisor during his stay in New Delhi. Mr.Anura Bandaranaike is the younger brother of Ms Chandrika Kumaratunge, former President who is expected to visit Colombo soon, sources said. Meanwhile, Mr.Anura Bandaranaike has expressed his opposition for fifty percent salary cut for ministers for a period of six months. He said that the cabinet decision in regard would confirm charges that ministers have resorted to large-scale corruption.
