Tamil youth shot dead in Serunuwara

A Tamil youth was shot dead by a fellow passenger when he was travelling in a bus from Serunuwara to Neelapola junction in Trincomalee district Sunday morning. The attacker is said to be a member of an armed group, civil society sources said.

Serunuwara police is conducting inquiry into the incident.

The victim has not been identified and his body was handed to the Serunuwara government hospital, sources said.
