SLAF bombs civilian settlement in Visuvamadu

Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) kfirs bombed Visuvamadu East civilian settlements Tuesday, dropping 16 bombs in two sorties, the first between 6:30 a.m to 6:50 and the next between 7:00 a.m to 7:20 a.m, damaging six settlements, and agricultural crops in Visuvamadu area.

The fighter jets, two at a time, dropped bombs that exploded above the surface of the earth and bombs which penetrated into the earth causing panic among the residents of the area.
A building built by World Vision in Visuvamadu Maha Viththiyaalayam school 9 windows glass were damaged.
A girl student who had scored the highest marks in the 5th Standard Scholarship Examination in Mullaitheevu district could not participate in an event held at Puthukkudiruppu Central College to honour students who had scored high marks because of the bombing, Visuvamadu Viththiyaalayam principal, S. Baskaran said.

World Vision had built and handed the building officially only last month and its very unfortunate that it is damaged by the bombing, he added.
The valuable house and three acre plot of land with several yeilding crops belonging to S. Pararajasingham , 63, were fully damaged while he and his family members including a two-year-old child narrowly escaped death in the bombing.
An 85-year-old man was killed and 12 civilians, including his son and daughter who is a teacher, a six-months-old baby, a 9-year-old girl and two couples, were wounded when Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) Kfir bombers attacked Punnai Neeraavi village in Visuvamadu September 22, between 7:00 and 7:25 a.m.
Two Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) kfir bombers dropped eight bombs in two sorties September 21, between 12:15 a.m and 12:40 p.m on Visuvamadu junction, behind the shops in the area, in Puthukkudiyiruppu DS division of Mullaitheevu distirict.
A 65-year-old man identified as Nagappan and a child aged 3 years 3 months sustained injuries in the bombing while 5 students in a school located 800 meters from the bombed area fainted in shock of the exploding bombs.
