Airstrike kills three civilians

The Voice of Tigers radio (VoT) said yesterday that 3 civilians were killed in the Sri Lankan Air Force bombing at Koddaikattiyakulam in Kilinochchi district Sunday evening at 5.30 pm. Ten civilians were wounded and admitted to Mallavi and Akkarayankulam hospitals.
Cattle were also killed and a number of trees in the vicinity were destroyed in the bombing the radio said. Mohanraj Kavitha (07) of Bharathipuram, Sevvethi Joseph (60) father of six children of 5th Canal, Kilinochchi and Letchumanan Naagenthiran (23) were identified as killed in the incident the VoT added. Jesuraajah Jeneeva (10), her brother Jesuraajah Anushyanthan (03), Kumaarasaamy Naagammah (58) were among the injured admitted to Mallavi hospital. The radio said the rest were admitted to Akkaraayankulam hospital. The VoT said Sunday that 6 civilians were injured in the SLAF bombing at Koddaikattiyakulam yesterday. Thangaraasa Thamilarasan lost 10 of his cattle in the bombing. The radio added that as the wounded were rushed to hospitals immediately a number of wounded were saved from dying of bleeding.
