Armed robberies escalate in Kaaththaankudi

Armed robberies of homes in Tamil areas of Naavatkudaa and Aarayampathi in Kaaththaankudi police division by unidentified gangs have escalated according to the number of complaints lodged by the village residents at Kaaththaankudi Police station, police said.

Twenty four homes, mostly the residences of government employees, have been targeted within the past 20 days, and large amount of cash, jewellery have been robbed police said.

Kaaththaankudi police have commenced investigations.
