SLN attacks fishermen on Mullaitheevu seas

Two Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) Dvora fast attack crafts opened fire Sunday around 6:50 a.m on 23 fishermen in 12 boats fishing in Mullaitheevu seas in an attack which lasted til 7:00 a.m, sources in Mullaitheevu said.

The fishermen noticing the SLN Dvora crafts cutting off their fishing nets, rushed back to the shore, when the SLN troops chased them and opened fire.

The fishermen narrowly escaped death and managed to reach the shore.
