Kandy police arrests Tamil teenager

Kandy Police Friday arrested a 14-year old Tamil boy at the Kandy bus stand, and has detained him at the Kandy Police. The boy has been identified as Pavithran of Pandaarikulam, and is being interrogated, media sources said.

Pavithran said in a statement to the Kandy police that he had come to Kandy in search of a work using some money given by his mother.

Pavithran told the police that his father had died and he has been the breadwinner of the family to look after her mother and his younger brother.
