Fisherman reported missing in Mannaar

A fisherman from Moor Street in Mannaar city has been abducted around 9:00 a.m. Thursday, according to a complaint by his family with humanitarian institutions in Mannaar.

The missing person, Iruthayanathan Perera, is a family man, according to the complaints.

Meanwhile, 11 of 13 youths who were arrested in Moor street in a cordon and search by the Sri Lanka by the Sri Lankan forces on Thursday were released the same night. Two of the youths, arrested near the Amman temple were brought to the Courts Friday and the police argued that the youths were arrested on suspicion. Mannar District judge allowed the youths to be released on surety bail of 10,000 each, legal sources said.
