Farmer, fishmonger reported missing in Jaffna

A young farmer from Maathakal East is reported missing since 16 June after leaving his house to his farm, according to the complaint made to Human Rights Commision (HRC) Jaffna office by his mother. Meanwhile, a fishmonger from Kudaththanai in Vadmaraadchi is reported missing since 21 June after going to sell fish to Point Pedro on his motor cycle, his family members complained to HRC Jaffna.
The farmer reported missing is Shanmuagalingam Paramananthan, 21. The fishmonger reported missing is Varatharajan Kalaikanan, 28, a family man and a resident of Kudaththanai North in Vadmaraadchi North. HRC officials have sent the details of the two missing men to the police stations in their respective areas for investigations.
