Family man abducted in Vavuniyaa

Varatharaja Ganeshamoorthy, 32, a father of three children was abducted by a group of more than ten unidentified armed persons on July 4 night around 10:00 p.m from his house at Amman Koayilady in Thonikal in Vavuniya police division, according to complaints made by his wife Lakshmi with the Vavuniyaa Police, regional offices of the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL) and the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) Tuesday

She said that the gang had entered her house and asked for her husband calling by his name. When her husband came out he was dragged out of the house, pushed into a vehicle and driven away. Since then she has not received any information about her husband's whereabouts
