British minister meets Pillayan

British Foreign and Commonwealth (Asia, Africa and UN) Affairs Minister Malloch-Brown Wednesday morning held talks with Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan alias Pillayan, leader of the paramilitary-cum-political party TMVP. The meeting was held at the Chief Secretariat of the EPC in Trincomalee town. The talks lasted for about two hours, Media was not allowed to cover the proceedings.

British Minister was received by Pillayan when he arrived at the Chief Secretariat complex with UK High Commissioner Dr. Peter Hayes in Colombo.

Provincial Minister Mr.M.L.A.M.Hisbullah later told newsmen that his ruling group had told the visiting minister that the EPC administration had planned to hold talks with the Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa to ensure full implementation of the 13th amendment to the constitution.
