SLA Claymore attack kills refugee in Vanni

A civilian was killed and three wounded when a group of Internally Displaced Persons, who were riding in a tractor in Thu'nukkaay, were attacked by the Sri Lanka Army Deep Penetration Unit Wednesday morning around 10:00, according to Tamileelam Police.
The civilian killed was identified as Thillaiyampalam Gnaanachchanthiran, 32 a father of two children and a resident of Puththuvedduvaan. The wounded civilians were identified as M.Thevaraththinam, 23, Nadarasa, 49 and S. Nakaraththinam, 48, all from Aiyangkanku'lam. The victims along with number of residents had recently moved out of Aiyangkanku'lam area due to fear of artillery attacked by SLA into Puththuveduvaan area within the administrative area of Thu'nukkaay Government Agent. Since their present area of residence too was being subjected to SLA attack, they had just moved into a school building in Kanagaambikaikulam within Ki'linochchi GA’s administrative region.
