Court directs Vaalaichchenai police to arrest suspects in abduction case

Vaalaichchenai Magistrate M.Ganesharajah directed the Vaalaichchenai Police to arrest the suspects in connection with the abduction of Kanapathipillai Vasanthakumar, father of a child and resident of Vinayagapuram and to produce them in court on November 19, legal sources said.

According to complaints made to the police by relatives, three unidentified abducted the victim from his house on August 27th night around 8:30 p.m.

No one had been arrested so far, the court was told on Friday.

The Magistrate directed the police to conduct further investigations and to file a report on the next date.

He directed the relatives of the victim to appear in court, legal sources said.
