Ten Tigers killed

(CORRECTED) Ten Liberation Tigers were killed in a confrontation with the Sri Lankan Army (SLA) at Mankerni, 48 km. north of Batticaloa, the LTTE said today in Vanni.
The LTTE attack group had confronted the SLA while returning to their base after destroying the guard posts and forward defence lines of the securtiy forces Mankerni around 6 am yesterday the LTTE had announced. The Liberation Tigers have released nine names out of the 10 killed in the incident. They are:- Captain Soman (Navaratnam Ketheeswaran of Batticaloa)
Captain Jamunaharan (Kanthavanam Mohan of Batticaloa)
Lt.Ikkiyarajan (If;fpauh[d; - Gunasekaran Parameswaran of Batticaloa)
2nd Lt. Reaga Kaanthan (Logenthiram Ravisankar of Batticaloa)
2nd Lt. Annamalai (Kanthapodi Kuthookalan of Batticaloa)
Thirunaamam (Sounderaraja Navaneethan of Batticlaoa)
Jeyathevan (Guanaseelan Jeyakaanthakumar of Batticaloa)
Maamurali (Gopalapillai Perinban of Amaparai)
Thamilavan (Velupillai Jayachanthiran of Batticaloa) The Liberation Tigers said today in Vanni that two of their members were killed at Paranthan today in a clash with the SLA. The LTTE named them as Thayarathi (Thangaraja Seetha of Colombo) Vetrichelvi (Paramu Vasanthi of Vavuniya)
