Jaffna woman arrested in Habarana

A Jaffna born Tamil woman was arrested in Habarana on Thursday by the Habarana police. She had been in possession of a fake National Identity Card (NIC) at that time of arrest, police sources said.

The police further said she had been running an ayurvedic massage clinic in Habarana, posing as a Sinhala woman. Police said they suspect she had been involved in terrorist activity elsewhere and had been hiding in Habarana to avoid arrest.

Her arrest had led to the arrest of several other Tamils in the area, according to Habarana Police sources.
