TELO cadres escape injury

A van belonging to the TELO was damaged this evening around 5.30 pm, when two grenades were lobbed at the speeding vehicle at the Kalviyankaadu junction about 3 km east of Jaffna town.

Nobody was injured in the attack, Police said.

Soon after the incident, reinforcement of TELO and the Sri Lankan Army (SLA) rushed to the scene. The SLA launched a search operation in the area to locate the attackers.
