SLRC officials wife interviewed

Sri Lanka Red Cross Official, Sivanathan Kishore, who is detained by the Terrorist Investigation Division (TID) of the Sri Lankan Police was brought to Vavuniya today, sources said.

He was taken to the SLRC office in Vavuniya and to his house at Rambaikulam.

The Police had recorded statement from his wife and some others, including SLRC, officers, they added.

Kishore was allowed to be in his house with his 3 children while the Police recorded the statement from his wife.

"He was in the house for over 2 hours from 11 am" his wife said.

Kishore was arrested on April 26 by the Sri Lanka Army in Vavuniya and later handed over to the TID. The reasons for his arrest are not known.
