TELO associate found dead

A man associated with the paramilitary group, the Tamil Eelam Liberation Organisation (TELO), was found dead at the dike of the Vairavapuliyankulam irrigation reservoir early this morning, said Police in the northern town of Vavuniya.

TELO has identified the man as Rahuman, the police said.

Rahuman worked for TELO at their local Television office in Vairavapuliyankulam, sources said.

His body has been brought to the Vavuniya hospital for post-mortem and inquest.

Meanwhile unidentified armed men shot dead three Sinhala civilians in Ragaladhenna village of the Bakkiyala police section in the Amparai District, at around midnight.

Their bodies are now lying at the Amparai hospital. The police are conducting inquiries.
