Two eletricity transformers are blasted, two firearms are said missing from policestation and a curfew is imposed in Eravur.
Two transformers blastedTwo more electricity transformers at Kurumankadu and Vavuniya Soosaiyappar Pillayar temple were destroyed in Vavuniya last night said Electricity board officials. These areas are without power at present. The police believe the transformers were destroyed by time-bombs. No suspects have been identified say the police.
Curfew in Eravur The Sri Lankan security forces have imposed a daily curfew in Eravur, in the Eastern Province after 10 p.m. The police informed the public through the local mosques yesterday. The police have also stipulated that visitors from outside the area should not be allowed to stay at any house in the area without prior permission from the security forces.
