Tamil woman found slain near SL military camp in Batticaloa

A 28-year-old Tamil woman has been beaten to death at Vaakaik-kaadu, located between the camp of the occupying SL military at Kiraan bridge and an SL Police post at Puli-paayntha bridge Sunday afternoon. The victim is from Ka'neasa-puram in Vavuniyaa.

A passport and some foreign goods were recovered along with the dead body.

The victim seems to have assaulted with bottles and stones, the police said.

The military and police checkpoints are operating both day and night. The SL military and police use to inspect the vehicles regularly.

It is under these circumstances the death of a Tamil woman has been reported between the military and police post.
