13 wounded in blasts

At least 13 persons were wounded in two separate bomb explosions in Negombo, north of Colombo this evening police sources said.

The first bomb went off around 3.15 p.m. in bus parked at a private bus stop, wounding three, the sources said.

Ten persons were wounded when the second bomb went off in a bus at Tangottuwaa around 3.40 p.m. The bus was on its way from Kuliyapittiya to Negombo, according to police sources.

The wounded have been rushed to the hospital.

Police say no one has claimed responsibility for the blasts are conducting investigations.
