PLOTE leader admits to past mistakes

Mr.Dharmalingam Siddharthan, the leader of the People's Liberation Organisation of Tamil Eelam (PLOTE) and a Member of Parliament for Vanni district yesterday admitted the moral responsibility for the mistakes made by his group, in the past.

He addressed a press conference yesterday at the PLOTE office at Vairavar Puliyankulam, Vavuniya.

Mr.K.Chandrakulasingam, PLOTE organiser for the Vavuniya district and the former Chairman of the Urban Council, Mr.G.T.Linganathan (Visu) also attended the conference.

Mr.Siddharthan added that he was taking steps to create a peaceful environment in the Vavuniya town. He had already taken steps to create a better understanding between all Tamil groups in the area.
