Police post attacked -VoT

The Liberation Tigers attacked a Sri Lankan Police post in Pulmoddai in the Trincomalee district, around 11.50 p.m. yesterday, killing a policeman the Voice of Tigers Radio (VoT) said this evening.

The radio said remaining police personnel had fled in the initial phase of the attack. One LTTE member died in the attack, the VoT said.

The radio said one AKLM, mortars, grenades and hundreds of medium range rounds were among the weapons recovered by the Tigers.
